Samuel Marx began his career in 1930 as a story editor for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer then went on to produce popular films to include Lassie Come Home and Son of Lassie. In 1990, Marx co-authored the book Deadly Illusions; Jean Harlow And The Murder Of Paul Bern in which his sleuthing efforts unfold the mysterious details surrounding his friends alleged suicide.
Personal inscription to the lower right reads “To Sam Marx with true friendship and gratitude”
Also included is a silver gelatin photograph portrait of the composer mounted to the center of the page.
